AllGEN! – All Generations United at First Parish

Each year, The First Parish Church in Weston has the custom of finding, funding, and finishing a special project that has the potential to change us and change the world. "All-Parish" means all of us –
children as well as adults.

This year's project will focus on bringing all generations together to improve connections between adults and young people,
while also raising funds for charity.

AllGEN! Presents
"A Discussion About Teenage Realities - Part 1"

A group of 12 First Parish parents gathered at the home of Laura Lamere, AllGEN! Co-chair on Friday, February 11, for a thought-provoking conversation about teenagers and the challenges they face. Of particular interest to the group was how to create and sustain multigenerational opportunities at First Parish that engage young adults after their 8th grade covenanting year program is completed. The informal conversation ended with a list of ideas and an invitation to join a book discussion group on Friday, April 8 at 7pm in the First Parish parlor - all are invited to purchase and read the book, Empowering Youth: How to Encourage Young Leaders to Do Great Things by Kelly Curtis, M.S., available through the author or online at www.search-institute.org. AllGEN has purchased a copy and you may borrow it by emailing allgen@firstparishweston.org before it is donated to the church library.
